1. Information We Collect
a. Information You Provide Directly
- Account Information: When you register, we collect your name, school/institution, and password (stored in hashed form).
- Profile Data: Optional profile details such as your program, level, and profile photo.
- User-Generated Content: Blog posts, chat messages, event submissions, past questions, and any other content you contribute to the platform.
- Print Requests: Documents you upload when using the Print Service. These are handled securely and deleted after printing.
- Feedback & Communications: Any messages you send to us via email, WhatsApp, or the in-app feedback system.
b. Information Collected Automatically
- Usage Data: Pages visited, features used, session duration, and interaction patterns within the app.
- Device Information: Device type, operating system, browser type, and unique device identifiers.
- Log Data: IP address, date and time of access, and error logs to help us diagnose and fix technical issues.
- Location Data: If you use the Campus Map feature, we may request your approximate location to help you navigate campus. This is only used while the feature is active and is not stored on our servers.
c. Information from Third Parties
- Payment Processing: Payments made for premium features or print services are processed through Paystack. We do not store your card details. Please review Paystack's Privacy Policy for details.
- Analytics: We use Google AdSense and similar tools to understand usage patterns. These services may place cookies on your device. See the Cookies section below.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide, maintain, and improve the Service
- Create and manage your account
- Process print requests and payments
- Personalise your experience on the platform
- Send you important updates, announcements, and notifications related to your account or the Service
- Respond to your enquiries and support requests
- Monitor and analyse usage trends to improve features
- Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, or security incidents
- Comply with applicable legal obligations

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties. We may share information in the following limited circumstances:

We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. If you request account deletion, we will delete or anonymise your data within 7 business days, except where we are required to retain it for legal purposes.
Uploaded print documents are automatically deleted from our servers within 48 hours of your print request being fulfilled or cancelled.

We use cookies and similar tracking technologies to enhance your experience on the Service. These include:

- Analytics Cookies: Help us understand how users interact with the Service (e.g., Google Analytics).

AZ Learner is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
